The Jeremy White Court was officially opened today in what will be an enduring tribute to the sports loving Jeremy, who would have celebrated his 52nd birthday today.
Jeremy's children Lawson and Eliza, along with granddaughters Amarni (6 years old) and Nalah (3 years old), together unveiled the sign for The Jeremy White Court, which is a brand-new, half-size basketball court located at View Road Reserve that was paid for by the Jeremy White Foundation.
A crowd of 50 community members came together for the event where Jeremy - who was a much-loved member of the Burnie City Council events team when he sadly passed away in 2007 - was remembered fondly for his dedication to the community and his larger-than-life personality as a "Burnie boy to his core".
The Jeremy White Foundation was created after Jeremy's passing and has paid out over $100,000 in grants to individuals and students to pursue their sporting passions.
