Child and Youth Safety
For children and young people to be safe in our community, they need to be safe in our organisations.
The Burnie City Council is committed to creating and maintaining a child-safe organisation. Our goal is to protect children, where preventing and responding to the occurrence of child abuse is embedded in the everyday thinking and practices of all employees and volunteers.
Additionally, we play an important role in making sure that our local businesses and the broader community are aware of their responsibilities concerning protecting the health and safety of our children and young people by providing information that assists in doing this.
