Replacing Romaine Walking Bridge

The construction team will be replacing the Romaine Walking Bridge off Sebastian Ct Romain. This will have limited pedestrian access and Sebastian Ct will be one lane only on Monday 5th and Tuesday 6th of December 2022

Letteene Road and Round Hill road works

Please be aware of road interruptions on Letteene Road commencing Friday 27 October.

Electric Vehicle EV Chargers in the Multi-Storey Car Park

The two Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations located in the Multi-Storey Car Park are ready for use - and - they are free for the first 12 months 🚗⚡

Upper Burnie Memorial Hall - June maintenance works

UPDATE: Due to the very wet forecast - works have been postponed.

Access to the Upper Burnie Memorial Hall will be limited from Monday 5 June until Thursday afternoon 8 June due to Asbestos removal.

New Shelters at View Road Reserve

Burnie's War Memorial to sparkle

Burnie’s war memorial in Burnie Park will be carefully cleaned
- beginning 7th March 2023 🧼🧽

Fern glade Reserve - Post and Rail fence replacement

This project is to undertake the replacement of the existing fencing between the northern and Southern visitors nodes at the fern Glade Reserve. A new post and rail fence will be installed on the river side of the track to prevent falls into the adjacent river and down the steep embankment.

Equal Access Car Space Upgrade

Council will be constructing an equal access car space in front of the Burnie Library - commenced 1 June 2023.

Upper Burnie Road Cleaning - March 2023

The Burnie City Council will be sprucing up the pavements and road islands along Mount Street in Upper Burnie - beginning 13 March 2023🧼🧽
