This is a State Government funded project to upgrade existing bus stops within the Burnie Municipality to comply with Disability Discrimination Act 1992.

Stage 1

Nineteen (19) stops will be upgraded in Stage 1 of funding, with works to include the installation of tactile ground surface indicators (TGSI's) and updated bus blades (signage), as well as kerb ramps adjacent to stops where crossings aren't available.

Stage 2 - October 2024

Works have been completed on the next group of disability compliance upgrades at bus stops around the municipality with an anticipated completion date of 18 October.

Shelters for Mooreville Road and Three Mile Line Road bus stops are due to be installed in late January 2025.
