Recycle Rewards is Tassie’s new Container Refund Scheme - a key Tasmanian Government initiative that aims to reduce litter and increase recycling across our beautiful state.
Did you know … drink containers make up 45% of Tasmania’s litter by volume?!
As a statewide scheme, Recycle Rewards will aim to divert millions of drink containers to be recycled each year - instead of ending up in our parks, rivers and beaches.
In Burnie, you can find the Recycle Rewards depot on the corner of Anglesea and Smith Street, Wivenhoe, opening from Thursday 1 May 2025.
The depot will be operated by City Mission North West, providing a fast, safe and friendly drive-thru service, with staff there to help you with your big (and small) loads.
It is not necessary to download the app, however the app gives you access to key features including:
