Delivering the Tasmanian Women's Leadership Scholarships Grants Program 2026-27. Closes 2 April 2026. The Program builds the skills, confidence and resilience of Tasmanian women leaders, especially those working in male-dominated industries

First Nations Deaf and/or Disabilities Project Fund Closes 3 April 2026. To support projects and professional development opportunities across all art forms, nationally and internationally, from $5,000 to $10,000.

Digital Devices Grant Round 2 grants opening 2 Mar – 3 April 2026. $5,000 funding to loan digital devices to over 50's so they can be connected.Open to organisations participating in the Be Connected program, this grant helps you to create a free device loan library for over 50’s in your community. This is a great way for people who do not have access at home to get a loaned phone, tablet or laptop for up to 6 months.

Screen - AIDC & SPA 2026  Closes 3 April 2026. Funding is available for applicants to attend established Australian screen industry conferences, events, and workshops.

FRRR ABC Heywire Youth Innovation Grants  8 April 2026. These grants help implement ideas addressing issues of concern to young people identified at the annual Heywire Summit.

International Travel Fund: Market Development. close 14 April 2026. Funding to support travel to key international market development platforms and key gatherings.

Translation Fund for Literature: close 14 April 2026. Support for international publishers to translate Australian works by living authors of creative writing, and Australian publishers to translate non-English works into English by Australian translators.

Writers’ Festival Author Travel Fund 2026–27. Close 14 April 2026. This investment will support writers’ festivals around the country to connect Australian authors with readers and peers and promote their work.

Minor Facilities Upgrade Program closes 14 April 2026. to assist eligible organisations in upgrading existing facilities to enable greater use of the facility.  The Tasmanian Government recognises the importance of sport and active recreation and is committed to ensuring more Tasmanians have access to safe, fun and inclusive sport and active recreation opportunities.

Rebuilding Futures   16 April 2026.  This program supports communities to build back better to reduce the impact of future disasters on community wellbeing

Business Energy Efficiency Scheme closes 16 April 2026. This program provides commercial and industrial energy customers with loans to help them implement energy-efficient products and services to sustainably reduce their electricity bills.

The Agricultural Show Development Grants Program 2025-26. Closes 23 April 2026. Grants of up to $20,000 are available to eligible incorporated show societies that deliver an annual agricultural show in Tasmania. Projects must be completed by 31 July 2027.

Journalism Assistance Fund Program Closes 30-Apr-2026. to support public interest journalism and media diversity in Australia - recognising these are critical to a healthy democracy, social cohesion and informed citizens.

Local Para Champions Round 4 - 2025/26 Closes 30 April 2026
Local Sporting Champions Round 4 - 2025/26 Closes 30 April 2026. The Local Sporting and Para Champions program provides financial assistance for coaches, officials and competitors aged 12-18 participating in state, national or international championships.

Para Athlete Barriers Fund 2024-26 closes 4 May 2026. The Australian Government has doubled their investment to support high-performance Para sport in 2025 and 2026 in an effort to reduce barriers for athletes, and the high-performance sport system is implementing a range of initiatives to do so, collectively termed the Para System Uplift.

Qantas Regional Grants program, closes 10 May 2026. Provides $2 million annually in cash, flights, and marketing support to not-for-profit groups benefiting regional Australia.

Events Tasmania Marketing Grant 25/26 Closes 21 May 2026.  to provide grants to the organisers of events in Tasmania to increase visitation to their events. The program seeks to support marketing initiatives that promote and attract audiences to events held in Tasmania between 1 July 2025 and 30 June 2026. The grant program is designed to cater for both large and small events, with two tiers of funding available for events with either intrastate or interstate visitation targets. Grants between $2,500 and $10,000 are available to support event organisers in enhancing their existing marketing strategies for established Tasmanian events. Grants are available until the available funding allocation has been fully allocated, or the program has closed – whichever occurs first.

Touring Grant 2025 - 2026. Closes 28 May 2026.Touring grants of up to $20,000 are available to eligible organisers of touring activities that are held between March and November (inclusive) that attract more than 40 people to Tasmania, who stay in paid commercial accommodation for five nights or more and spend 40 per cent or more of the touring activity in regional areas (outside Greater Hobart).

Championship Grants 2025 - 2026. Closes 28 May 2026. Grants of between $3,500 and $10,000 are available to eligible organisers of championship and sporting events that: attract more than 100 people from outside Tasmania who stay three nights or more in paid commercial accommodation (hotel, motel, B&B, cabin). promote pre- and post-championship travel as a part of their event marketing.

Vulnerable Road User Program (VRUP) 2026. Closes 29 May 2025. provides an opportunity for Tasmanian local governments to apply for grant funding to implement low-cost infrastructure treatments that improve road safety outcomes for vulnerable road users (pedestrians, motorcyclists and cyclists).

Safer Rural Roads Program (SRRP) 2026 closes 29 May 2026. Provides opportunities for Tasmanian local governments to apply for grant funding to implement widespread low-cost road safety infrastructure treatments on rural and regional roads.

Ticket to Play voucher.  Closes 29 May 2026.  Ticket to Play provides two vouchers worth up to $100 each towards club membership fees for children aged 5-18 years who are listed on a Services Australia Health Care or Pensioner Concession Card or in approved Out of Home Care. The key objective of Ticket to Play is to increase the number of young Tasmanians participating in sport and active recreation

Farm Debt Mediation Grant Program Closes: 31 May 2026.  Helps farmers with financial difficulties cover costs for mediation under the Farm Debt Mediation Act 2024. Farmers can receive a $3,000 grant to pay for mediation fees, professional advisory services, relevant to mediation travel, accommodation, or room rental.

26Ten Workplace Grants 2026 Closes: 31 May 2026. Provides businesses and organisations with funding to help them improve the literacy and numeracy skills of their workers.

 

 

 

Junior Travel Assistance Program - 2025/26. Open until 24 June 2026. Provides help to young athletes (aged 12-18) with the costs of travelling to national sporting championships. This program offers one-off grants of up to $200 to ease the financial burden on families, allowing more young Tasmanians to represent their state.


Closing Later

Disaster Ready Fund - is the Australian Government’s flagship disaster resilience and risk reduction initiative, which will fund projects to support Australians to manage the physical, social and economic impacts of disasters caused by climate change and other natural hazards. Round Four (2026–27), which is expected to open in early to mid-2026.

The TasPorts Community Grant Program is taking a short pause while they refresh the format. The program will relaunch in mid-2026 with some exciting updates.


The Digital Sisters program has been extended until June 2026. The Australian Government, through the Department of Social Services, will continue funding the program, allowing 55 network partners to keep empowering women in their communities.  This extension is a direct result of the incredible work every Digital Sisters partner is doing in their community and the powerful impact the program has had. We are thrilled that we can continue with this program for one more year.

Capacity Building grant - opens 15 June 2026. Support for community organisations to run a train-the-trainer program to support and develop new digital mentors.

Get Online Week event grant open 15 June 2026.  Applications for the $1,000

 

Arts Tasmania -  closes 15 June 2026

Arts organisations – annual programs - enable arts organisations to deliver annual programs.
Programs for individuals and groups - supports activities that further the artistic practice and careers of individuals and groups.
Annie Greig Dance Scholarship - supports Tasmanian dancers aged between 17 and 26 to travel nationally or internationally (for a combined period of at least three months) to undertake professional development activities.

Waste and Resource Recovery Board Sponsorship Program 2025-26 closes 30 June 2026. Provides funding of $1,000 to $10,000 to eligible organisations, events and individuals that support the delivery of the Tasmanian Waste and Resource Recovery Strategy (WRR Strategy). The Sponsorship Program has a focus on supporting projects, organisations and events that clearly align with the WRR Strategy, demonstrate and road-test innovation, produce improved resource streams and circular supply chains, and deliver better services, products and outcomes for Tasmania.

FRRR ABC Takeover Youth Catalyst Grants  30 June 2026. The Takeover Youth Catalyst Grants aim to empower young people to shape their community’s future

Accelerating Trade Grant Program - Round 7 (2025-26) Closes 30 June 2026.

Major Events Partnership Program 2025/26. Closes 30 June 2026. provides funding to significant events that return substantial economic outcomes for our state. The Program is a competitive process with applications considered by the Major Events Group – a body made up of Government and industry representatives – against set criteria. The Program aims to deliver a regionally and seasonally balanced event portfolio for Tasmania that includes a variety of event types. 

Events - Special Partnerships 2025/26 close 30 June 2026. This program provides support to organisations bidding to host mass-participation events in Tasmania. The funding is intended for events that, if the bid is successful, would fit within the existing Major Event Partnerships Program.

Events - Sector Support 2025/26. Closes 30 June 2026.  Events Tasmania provides support to organisations bidding to host mass-participation events in Tasmania that would, should the bid be successful, fit within our existing Major Event Partnerships Program. This support is capped at $3 000, and can be used towards the development or presentation of the bid.

Regional Tourism Development Loan Scheme.  30 June 2026.  This program provides loans to support tourism projects in regional Tasmania.

Social Enterprise Capability Building Grants.  30 June 2026. This program provides funding to social enterprises to help them become more efficient and effective in delivering social benefits to vulnerable Australians.

Rebates for TAS sheep and goat farmers.  This program provides TAS sheep and goat farmers with rebates to help them purchase eligible eID device tags.

Residential Land Rebate closes 31 July 2026. The program is a Tasmanian Government initiative to help boost the availability of affordable residential land and improve housing availability. Grants will be for a total claim amount of up to $15000 per-lot, up to a maximum of 40 lots per application. Funding is available for developers to help cover the cost of power, NBN, water and sewerage infrastructure.

 

2026 Governance for Social Impact  close 21 August 2026. The executive education program will be delivered in a way that develops participants in an engaging and participatory way that will challenge participants' thinking and help them better understand and lean into the complexity of the social purpose landscape.

 

Arts Projects for Individuals and Groups: closes 1 September 2026. Up to $50,000 for a range of activities and projects, both national and international, across all art practices.

Solar Sunshot Round 1B  closesd 12 November 2026. ARENA has allocated $50 million to Round 1B: Solar PV Manufacturing Studies: feasibility studies and front end engineering and design (FEED). Round 1B was launched in August 2024 and will remain open to Full Applications until 12 November 2026.

 

2026 Community Action Grant closes 15 November 2026.  not-for-profit community organisations for projects that support strong, vibrant, and resilient communities. This includes programs and activities that remove barriers to learning for 8–19-year-olds and build leadership capacity and capability across the community.

 

Industry Partnerships Program 2026 closes 31 December 2026. Support better quality training experiences for Tasmanian learners and strengthen the responsiveness of the training system to meet industry and business needs.

2026 Apprentice and Trainee Training Fund closes 31 December 2026. provides grants to Skills Tasmania-endorsed registered training organisations to subsidise the cost of delivering training and assessment and associated learner support services to Tasmanian apprentices and trainees. 

 


 

26Ten Get Ready Grants 2026. Closes 1 February 2027. 

  • support for organisations that are considering applying for a 26Ten Workplace Grant but are not sure where to begin
  • funding may be used to employ an Adult Literacy Trainer to assist them gather information required to write an application for a 26Ten Workplace Grant.

 

2025 Events Tasmania Attraction Fund. Close 31 May 2027.  The aim of the Fund is to secure mass participation events which will deliver strong levels of interstate visitation and substantial economic and social benefits for the state during the shoulder and winter months. 

  • must apply under Stage One at least four months (16 weeks) prior to event commencement
  • must hold an event between March and November in either 2025, 2026 or 2027
  • must be able to contribute at least 60 per cent of the overall event income budget.

 

PowerSmart for Small Business 2024-25. Closes 30 Jun 3028. The Tasmanian Government has launched the PowerSmart for Small Business program, providing grants of up to $1,000 to small businesses for energy efficiency audits. This initiative aims to help Tasmanian small businesses better understand their energy use, identify opportunities to reduce both energy consumption and costs, and implement energy-saving measures.

Cheaper Home Batteries Program. 2030. Provides households and small businesses with a 30% discount on the upfront cost of installing a small-scale solar battery.

 

 

 

Tourism and Events

One-off Assistance Grants provides funding to events being held in regional Tasmania outside of the peak tourism season. 

Championship grants of up to $10,000 are available for eligible competitions that bring more than 100 competitors and supporters to Tasmania, who stay in paid commercial accommodation for three nights or more, and are able to promote pre- and post-championship travel within the state as part of their event marketing.

Touring Grants Tasmania provides funding to organisers of auto, motorbike or walking tours held in Tasmania that encourage visitors to travel around the state.

Funding for mass participation events held in Tasmania This program provides funding to event organisers hosting large events in Tasmania.

Free mentoring support for First Nations tourism businesses. tailored and one-one-one mentoring services from experienced tourism industry professionals. 

Aviation Attraction Fund - International Aviation
A $5 million Aviation Attraction Fund, will increase domestic flights to and from Tasmania and enhance the potential for new international routes for locals and visitors alike.

Social Enterprise

Support for Tasmanian start-up social enterprises and impact-driven businesses
The Shift Lab provides new social enterprises and impact-driven businesses with support, structures, tools and resources.

Social Enterprise Capability Building Grants
This program provides funding to social enterprises to help them become more efficient and effective in delivering social benefits to vulnerable Australians.

 

Young People

Transition to Independent Living (Adulthood) Allowance (TILA)
The Transition to Independent Living Allowance (TILA) in a one-off government payment for young people aged between 15 – 25. It provides a financial contribution of $1,500 to assist young people with transitioning to independent living.

Mantana Foundation for Young People
The Mantana Foundation for Young People assists young persons from disadvantaged or marginalised backgrounds. The focus is on providing programs that target school retention and increased educational achievement, employment skills development and career pathways, and social and community connectedness, together with servicesin geographical areas where funding is difficult to source.

 

Residential

Residential Land Rebate - 31 July 2026

Cheaper Home Batteries Program. 2030. Provides households and small businesses with a 30% discount on the upfront cost of installing a small-scale solar battery.

 

Business Support

CSIRO Kick-Start is an initiative for innovative Australian start-ups and small businesses that provides matched funding for start-ups and small to medium enterprises to help access CSIRO's research expertise and capabilities to help grow your business.

Waste Resource Recovery Sponsorship Program - Tasmanian organisations are invited to apply for sponsorship funding for innovative projects, events, or initiatives that recover resources from waste and reduce landfill. Funding ranges from $1,000 to $10,000 per project. Applications close once funding is fully allocated, so interested businesses are encouraged to apply promptly.

PowerSmart for Small Business   provides Tasmanian businesses with funding to help them carry out energy audits on their operations and buildings to review energy use and find ways to reduce it. Expert energy auditors will visit business premises and carry out a number of tasks, including: analysis of electricity use and tariffs; identifying energy savings opportunities; calculating the financial payback for energy savings opportunities.

Small business training for people interested in self-employment
This program provides support to people interested in starting their own business or who need help to refocus an existing small business.

No interest business loans for low income Tasmanians
The No Interest Micro Business Loan provides low income earners with interest-free loans to support their new or growing business.

Growth programs for businesses
The Business Growth Programs provide businesses with access to expert advice and programs that will help them grow their business.

Tax deductions for small businesses to digitise their operations
This initiative allows small businesses to claim a 20% bonus deduction on technology expenditure to help digitise their business.

Pre-employment project opportunities to recruit new staff
The Launch into Work program is for businesses that want to use a pre-employment project to recruit new staff.

Financial incentives for businesses to hire new staff
Wage subsidies provide financial incentives to employers to hire and retain eligible participants in ongoing and sustainable positions.

Funding for workers with a disability
The Employment Assistant Fund provides workers with a disability with funding for workplace modifications, equipment or services they need to perform their job. 

 

Agriculture, Primary Production  

Funding for organisations to do rural industry research
AgriFutures Australia RD&E Investment provides funding for organisations to help conduct research that will improve the sustainability and profitability of new and established rural industries.

Support for farmers experiencing financial hardship
The farm household allowance program provides farming families experiencing financial hardship with assistance through planning and training for long-term financial improvements as well as income support for up to 4 years.

Tech & Advanced Manufacturing 

Network of specialised programs to support Australian technology companies to expand globally
Landing Pads provide start-ups with a workspace for up to 90 days in a global innovation hub, along with access to coaching, investors, customers, training and networking events.

Funding for businesses undertaking renewable energy projects
The Advancing Renewables Program provides businesses with funding or finance to develop renewable energy technologies.

Funding to support zero emissions vehicle (ZEV) technologies
This program provides funding to enable the demonstration and deployment of new zero emissions vehicle technologies.

Financial benefits for businesses that recycle oil
The Product Stewardship for Oil Program provides financial benefit for businesses that recycle oil or use recycled oil in their operations.

 

Export 

Financial help for Tasmanian businesses to move goods by sea
The Tasmanian Freight Equalisation Scheme provides businesses and individuals with financial assistance to offset the costs of moving goods by sea.
