Volunteer Grants 2023 - 2024 Expressions of Interest

The latest round of the Volunteer Grants Program is open to receive Expressions of Interest (EOI).
$66,225 has been allocated to the Braddon electorate and your organisation can submit an EOI for funding between $1,000-$5,000 to support your wonderful volunteers.  Following are the links to the EOI form and program guidelines. The completed form should be emailed to gavin.pearce.mp@aph.gov.au or it can be dropped into my office at 2/32 Wilmot Street, Burnie if that works better. Please note, only the one page EOI is required to be submitted at this stage. If your organisation is selected for funding, all other documentation, including quotes, will be sought then.  Closes Friday 8 September 2023.  Guidelines available here.

 

Business Growth Loan Scheme TAS
Provides businesses with concessional loans to help them develop or expand, or undertake new projects. Closing 14 September 2023.

 

Young Aboriginal Leaders Scholarship
The Young Aboriginal Leaders Scholarship is intended to encourage and support young Aboriginal people residing in Tasmania to pursue or continue their career or leadership endeavours and to be role models for other young Aboriginal people. Closes at 5:00 pm on Friday, 15 September 2023.

 

Carers Small Grants Program 2023-24.
Applicants can apply for funding of up to $1,000 for events to celebrate National Carers Week (15-21 October 2023) or for a community event that celebrates/supports carers that benefits carers in 2023-24

MRFF 2023 Global Health Grant Opportunity
Provides organisations with funding to improve the understanding of infections in hospitals that drive antimicrobial resistance and develop interventions to reduce infections. Closing 20 September 2023.

 

Small grants stream - Active Tas Infrastructure Program 2023-24

The program will provide grants to the sport and active recreation sector to build new, and upgrade existing, sport and active recreation infrastructure. Closes 2:00PM 25 September 2023 (AEST).

 

Tasmanian Men's Shed Association Grants Program 2023-24
Up to $7,000 available for tools, equipment, men's health, including mental health and wellbeing programs and community initiatives, and up to $20,000 available for capital works being the construction of new sheds or the alteration, improvement and maintenance of existing sheds.
Close at 2:00 pm on Friday, 29 September 2023.

 

The B4 Local Early Years Literacy Collaboration Grants are now open!

Up to $25,000 is available to eligible organisations to support local communities develop Local Early Years Literacy. Applications close Friday 29 September 2023 at midnight.

Premier's Fund for Children and Young People 2023-24

A community development fund delivered through the Child and Youth Wellbeing Strategy: It Takes a Tasmanian Village (the Strategy). Funding will be provided for new infrastructure, enhancements to existing infrastructure or social activities that increase and/or improve access to recreational opportunities for children and young people aged 0-25 years in their local areas.  Closes at 2:00 pm on Monday, 2 October 2023.

Funding to support the establishment of new long-rotation softwood and hardwood plantation forests in Australia

Support Plantation Establishment 2023-24 - This program provides funding to support new softwood and hardwood plantation forests in Australia. Closing date: Wednesday 25 October 2023.

Funding for Tasmanian primary producers impacted by the October 2022 severe storm event

2022 Flood Recovery Grants for Primary Producers TAS - Funding is available to assist with clean-up and reinstatement costs for Tasmanian primary producers directly impacted by the October 2022 severe weather event. Closing date: Tuesday 30 April 2024.

 

Step Forward grants - Healthy Tasmania Fund 
Up to $5,000 for a wide range of activities and equipment that support health and wellbeing. They could be for training, posters, brochures or equipment needed for services and programs focused on keeping people healthy and well. Opens 1 July 2023 - 30 June 2024.

One-off Assistance Grants provides funding to events being held in regional Tasmania outside of the peak tourism season. 

Funding for organisers of auto, motorbike or walking tours
Touring Grants Tasmania provides funding to organisers of auto, motorbike or walking tours held in Tasmania which encourage visitors to travel around the state.

Funding for mass participation events held in Tasmania
This program provides funding to event organisers hosting large events in Tasmania.

Small business training for people interested in self-employment
This program provides support to people interested in starting their own business or who need help to refocus an existing small business.

Growth programs for businesses
The Business Growth Programs provide businesses with access to expert advice and programs that will help them grow their business.

Pre-employment project opportunities to recruit new staff
The Launch into Work program is for businesses that want to use a pre-employment project to recruit new staff.

Matched funding for start-ups and small business to access CSIRO support
CSIRO Kick-Start provides matched funding for start-ups and small to medium enterprises to help access CSIRO's research expertise and capabilities to help grow your business. 

Funding for Tasmanian employers to improve literacy and numeracy in their workplace
26TEN Grants provide businesses and peak bodies with funding to help them improve the literacy and numeracy skills of their workers.

Free mental health and training and support for TAS small businesses and their employees
The Minding Your Business program provides free mental health training and support for small Tasmanian businesses and their employees. 

Funding for workers with a disability
The Employment Assistant Fund provides workers with a disability with funding for workplace modifications, equipment or services they need to perform their job. 

 

Agriculture, primary production  

Funding for organisations to do rural industry research
AgriFutures Australia RD&E Investment provides funding for organisations to help conduct research that will improve the sustainability and profitability of new and established rural industries.

Support for farmers experiencing financial hardship
The farm household allowance program provides farming families experiencing financial hardship with assistance through planning and training for long-term financial improvements as well as income support for up to 4 years.

 

Tech & Advanced Manufacturing 

Network of specialised programs to support Australian technology companies to expand globally
Landing Pads provide start-ups with a workspace for up to 90 days in a global innovation hub, along with access to coaching, investors, customers, training and networking events.

Funding for businesses undertaking renewable energy projects
The Advancing Renewables Program provides businesses with funding or finance to develop renewable energy technologies.

Funding to support zero emissions vehicle (ZEV) technologies
This program provides funding to enable the demonstration and deployment of new zero emissions vehicle technologies.

Funding for Tasmanian advanced manufacturers
The Advanced Manufacturing Tender Incentive Program provides Tasmanian advanced manufacturers with funding to engage in a professional bid and tender writing services.

Financial help for Tasmanian businesses to move goods by sea
The Tasmanian Freight Equalisation Scheme provides businesses and individuals with financial assistance to offset the costs of moving goods by sea.
