This workshop aims to foster a greater understanding and knowledge of what autism is and focusses on the diversity of the experience of autism
Together we can create a more inclusive and accepting world by simply taking the time to learn and understand more about the people who make up our diverse community.

This 90-minute Professional Development workshop develops understanding about the diversity of autism strengths, challenges and opportunities . It grows knowledge, skills and confidence across the community.

Participants able to attend this as either a stand-alone workshop or as an access point for further professional training under our Learning and Development program.

 

   At this Workshop you will:

  • Learn about autism, and how individuals  may experience autism differently. 
  • Understand how autistic people process information, and the types of support that may be of assistance. 
  • Identify best-practice support strategies that can be easily applied in your environment.
  • Identify practical ways to be “open to autism”.
