Wildcare Tasmanian Nature Conservation Fund Grants. The first round of Wildcare's Tasmanian Nature Conservation Fund (TNCF) grants for 2024 will be open to submissions for upcoming environmental projects that work toward the conservation of Tasmania's precious wildlife and wild places - closes Thursday 4th April.

Active Tasmania Equipment Grants Program - Extended - Closes 5 April 2024
Provides sport and active recreation clubs with grants of between $2,000 and $30,000 to assist with the purchase of additional or replacement equipment.

AMP Foundation Tomorrow Makers SPARK 2024 closes 9 April.  If you have a great idea to deliver social impact in your community, let our Tomorrow Makers program spark your idea: Social Innovation, Education, Health, Disability, Science, Environment, Small Business, or Technology.

Artsbridge Closes 15 April.

New working women’s centres funding round (GO6692) - closes on Wednesday 10 April 2024.
This program implements recommendation 49 of the Respect@Work Report, by facilitating jobs growth, including secure work, through policies and programs that promote fair, productive and safe workplaces for women.

Built Heritage Grants Scheme - For owners of heritage properties in Tasmania.

• Conservation Program - Closes - 15 April 2024

Small grants of $5,000 to $20,000 to support state-registered property owners to undertake small but significant, heritage conservation and restoration activities. 

Support for Tasmanian Aboriginal artists and art organisations - Monday, 15 April 2024. The Aboriginal Arts Program provides Aboriginal artists and art organisations with opportunities for professional development to stimulate Aboriginal art forms and practices.

Mentorships for young Tasmanian Aboriginal artists - Closes Monday, 15 April 2024.

Funding for artist travel costs - Closes 11:59 pm on Monday, 15 April 2024. Provides artists and art groups with funding to travel to opportunities that arrive at short notice.

Funding for Tasmanian primary producers impacted by the October 2022 severe storm event
2022 Flood Recovery Grants for Primary Producers TAS - Funding is available to assist with clean-up and reinstatement costs for Tasmanian primary producers directly impacted by the October 2022 severe weather event. Closing date: Tuesday 30 April 2024.

Three programs are available to support the uptake of electric vehicles and re  duce transport emissions in our state:

National Pies for Local Heroes - monthly grants close last day of each month.  Any registered Australian community group, sporting club or not-for-profit organisation can apply. We’ll award a grant of $1,000 each month over the next 12 months, beginning in March 2024. We’ll also award a major grant of $10,000 at the end of the program Jan 2025. Monthly grants will close at 11.59pm on the last day of each corresponding month.

BirdLife Australia’s Community Grants  - Applications close on May 1st.
There is up to $20,000 in funding available for projects that align with BirdLife Australia’s Bird Conservation Strategy. This funding covers items such as equipment, signage, vegetation restoration, as well as support for volunteers, community education, training, and advocacy. 

 Event Marketing Tasmania – Winter 2024 Edition - Closes 1 May 2024.
To assist event organisers to increase their event marketing activity. Grants are available to the organisers of events held in Tasmania from April to September 2024.  Eligible applicants can apply for a grant between $5,000 and $10,000, specifically designated to their interstate marketing activities that target visitors from outside Tasmania. 

Industry Partnerships Program 2023 - Submissions close 2:00PM 1 May 2024.
Provides organisations with funding to help them purchase nationally recognised training-related equipment and resources to improve employee training in TAS. 

National Body funding round (GO6693) - Closes on Friday 3 May 2024. 
The purpose of this grant opportunity is to provide funding to an organisation to lead a national body to facilitate coordination and collaboration of working women’s centres across Australia.

Therapeutic Farming Small Grants Program  - close at 5 pm on Friday, 10 May 2024.
Funding for activities that aim to strengthen the use of therapeutic farming in Tasmania. This could include improving community engagement in the design and evaluation of therapeutic farming, establishing partnerships between entities that have key interests in Tasmanian therapeutic farming, or setting up the foundations to pilot a therapeutic farming model in Tasmania.

Small Business Advice and Financial Guidance Program Round 3 - Submissions close 2:00pm 30 May 2024.
Provides small businesses with funding to engage an appropriate consultant to provide advice or services that will assist in business recovery, transition, growth or application of other management services.  

Junior Travel Assistance Program
Round Two closing for applications on 30 May 2024 or when the funding available has been exhausted.

Touring grants Closes 31 May 2024.
Of up to $20 000 are available to eligible organisers of auto, motorbike, cycle or walking tours in Tasmania during the winter and shoulder season. Funding is based on the number of interstate or international participants staying in paid commercial accommodation forfive nights or more, with 40 percent or more of the tour being held in regional areas. 

Championship grants Closes 31 May 2024.
Of up to $10 000 are available for eligible competitions that bring more than 100 competitors and supporters to Tasmania, who stay in paid commercial accommodation for three nights or more, and are able to promote pre- and post-championship travel within the state as part of their event marketing.

On Farm Connectivity Program- Close 31 May 2024.
Provides eligible Equipment Suppliers with up to $30,000 rebate for sales of digital farming technology to eligible Primary Producers to help improve their connectivity and productivity.

to deliver annual programs that:

Sheep and Goat Electronic Identification (eID) - closes 13 June 2024
Support Scheme Grant Round 1 is intended to facilitate the installationof required infrastructure and equipment to establish eID scanning at crucial points throughout the sheep and goat supply chain.This will help support the implementation of mandatory individual eID for sheep and goats from 1 January, 2025.

Step Forward grants - Healthy Tasmania Fund. Closes 30 June 2024. Up to $5,000 for a wide range of activities and equipment that support health and wellbeing. They could be for training, posters, brochures or equipment needed for services and programs focused on keeping people healthy and well. 

Residential Land Rebate - close 5:00PM 30 June 2024. Rebates of up to $10 000 per lot are available to developers to help cover the cost of power, water and sewerage infrastructure.  

Accelerating Trade Grant Program - Round 5  - Closes 2:00PM 30 June 2024.  Program helps Tasmanian businesses to collaborate, expand their presence and introduce Tasmanian products and services to the world, providing grants of up to a 50 per cent contribution towards specific off-island activities that support market growth and diversification opportunities for Tasmanian businesses. This includes activities such as promotional events or campaigns, market research and business matching services, and inbound buyer visits.

Tasports Community Grants Program.  Applications open on 1 August 2024 for projects scheduled to take place between October 2024 and April 2025.  Grants up to $5,000 are available for supporting organisations, community groups and events that benefit communities surrounding our port operations and across Tasmania. Key Focu areas include Community Engagement, Marine Safety, Marine and Coastal Environmental Protection, Maritime Heritage.

26TEN Grants provide businesses and peak bodies with funding to help them improve the literacy and numeracy skills of their workers. Closing date:Tuesday 31 December 2024.

Business Growth Loan Scheme TAS - This scheme provides businesses with concessional loans to help them develop or expand, or undertake new projects. Closes 20 December 2024

Tasmanian Community Fund is calling for applications from not-for-profit community organisations for projects that support strong, vibrant and resilient communities, through programs and activities that remove barriers to learning for 8–19 year olds and build leadership capability and capacity across the community. Closes 31 December 2024.

MCOT Cultureal Grants 2024 - The Multicultural Council of Tasmania small grants round (up to $500) aimed at assisting member organisations to deliver community cultural events throughout the year.

Travel Funding - Active Tasmania administers funding through a range of grant programs including support for sporting representatives and State sport and recreation organisations to lead, administer and develop activities around Tasmania.  

Sign up for Free NBN - Eligible families in Tasmania without broadband are encouraged to sign up for a free NBN connection for 12 months as part of the Albanese Government’s ongoing roll-out of the School Student Broadband Initiative (SSBI).  To be eligible, a family must: Have a child living at home enrolled in an Australian school in 2024; Be referred by a nominating organisation; Have no active broadband service over the NBN network; and Live in a premise where they can access a standard NBN service.

e-Transport support - Rebates for electric vehicles, e-bikes and e-scooters are now available. Swap your daily commute to electric transport and help reduce Tasmania’s greenhouse gas emissions.

One-off Assistance Grants provides funding to events being held in regional Tasmania outside of the peak tourism season. 

Funding for organisers of auto, motorbike or walking tours
Touring Grants Tasmania provides funding to organisers of auto, motorbike or walking tours held in Tasmania which encourage visitors to travel around the state.

Funding for mass participation events held in Tasmania
This program provides funding to event organisers hosting large events in Tasmania.

Business Support

Small business training for people interested in self-employment
This program provides support to people interested in starting their own business or who need help to refocus an existing small business.

Growth programs for businesses
The Business Growth Programs provide businesses with access to expert advice and programs that will help them grow their business.

Pre-employment project opportunities to recruit new staff
The Launch into Work program is for businesses that want to use a pre-employment project to recruit new staff.

Matched funding for start-ups and small business to access CSIRO support
CSIRO Kick-Start provides matched funding for start-ups and small to medium enterprises to help access CSIRO's research expertise and capabilities to help grow your business.  

Free mental health and training and support for TAS small businesses and their employees
The Minding Your Business program provides free mental health training and support for small Tasmanian businesses and their employees. 

Funding for workers with a disability
The Employment Assistant Fund provides workers with a disability with funding for workplace modifications, equipment or services they need to perform their job. 

Business Energy Efficiency Scheme The scheme will provide loan interest subsidies to eligible applicants by way of a once-off grant payment to install the energy efficient goods/equipment, or have energy efficiency services delivered. Through BEES, the Tasmanian Government will fund:

• the full interest costs under the loan on up to $10,000 over the first three years, and
• a 5 percentage point interest subsidy for loan amounts over $10,000 and less than $60,000 over the first three years.

Funding for organisations to do rural industry research
AgriFutures Australia RD&E Investment provides funding for organisations to help conduct research that will improve the sustainability and profitability of new and established rural industries.

Support for farmers experiencing financial hardship
The farm household allowance program provides farming families experiencing financial hardship with assistance through planning and training for long-term financial improvements as well as income support for up to 4 years.

Tech & Advanced Manufacturing 

Network of specialised programs to support Australian technology companies to expand globally
Landing Pads provide start-ups with a workspace for up to 90 days in a global innovation hub, along with access to coaching, investors, customers, training and networking events.

Funding for businesses undertaking renewable energy projects
The Advancing Renewables Program provides businesses with funding or finance to develop renewable energy technologies.

Funding to support zero emissions vehicle (ZEV) technologies
This program provides funding to enable the demonstration and deployment of new zero emissions vehicle technologies.

Funding for Tasmanian advanced manufacturers
The Advanced Manufacturing Tender Incentive Program provides Tasmanian advanced manufacturers with funding to engage in a professional bid and tender writing services.

Australia Council for the Arts
Various -  The Australia Council has developed a new grants model which will support a diverse range of artists, artistic practice, organisations and arts activity. 

Transition to Independent Living Allowance (TILA)
The Transition to Independent Living Allowance (TILA) in a one-off government payment for young people aged between 15 – 25. It provides a financial contribution of $1,500 to assist young people with transitioning to independent living.

Mantana Foundation for Young People

The Mantana Foundation for Young People provides assistance toyoung persons from disadvantaged or marginalized backgrounds. The focus is on providing programsthat target school retention and increased educational achievement, employment skills development and career pathways, and social and community connectedness, together with servicesin geographical areas where funding is difficult to source.
