Burnie Walk Against Elder Abuse
Next date: Saturday, 15 June 2024 | 09:45 AM
One in six older people are abused every year.
Older people have the right to live with dignity and safety, like people of every other age.
On World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, families, students, community members, workers and volunteers unite to raise awareness of elder abuse and the ageism that drives it.
Burnie walk - meet 9.45am at Wilmot St footpath outside the Marine Terrace Car Park, which is opposite the cinema.
Wear Purple if you can!
After the walk, there will be a free morning tea at the Burnie Library.
To register for the walk and a free morning tea provided by COTA Tasmania and the Burnie City Council at the end, please email admin@cotatas.org.au or ring 03 6231 3265
