CBD Waste Collections
Waste Service Changes are coming from September 2025 - (19 June 2025)
Council recognises that bin placement and storage in the CBD present unique challenges, We invite CBD businesses to take part in a brief survey to identify their additional waste needs and current waste presentation challenges. The findings will be reviewed as part of urban redesign efforts.

Businesses in the CBD may apply for a weekly waste wheelie bin snd cardboard collectio.
Additional pickups and recycling may be arranged through a private waste operator.
Due to space constraints within the CBD , the 3-bin Council service including FOGO and recycling are not yet offere. These constraints will be considered during the Urban planning project.
For a transition period Council will also provide additional waste pickups on a fee for service invoiced monthly: Kerbside Collection Form.
Businesses in the CBD may access Council's Cardboard Collection Service by Registering a Collection Point(PDF, 98KB). Once registered, a business may place maximum of 2m3 of neatly stacked cardboard out for collection, in a location that can be safely and easily accessed.
Cardboard is collected weekly onTuesday evenings from 5-7pm. Cardboard must not be placed out until the afternoon on a Tuesday.
Businesses that are placing cardboard out for collection have a responsibility of maintaining their collection point until the collection has taken place. This will included adverse weather conditions i.e. strong windy days.
Failing to follow conditions of your collection may result in this service being removed.

Outer commercial areas - From September 2025 If your business is within the Inzone, you are able to access the Council fortnightly 3-bin kerbside service.
