To request either a change or new Collection Service within the Inzone or CBD additional waste.

Service Details

A single Council-rated 240Ltr 3-bin collection service

In conjunction with the Cradle Coast regional kerbside collection, the 3-bin service is provided to all property types within the defined serviced zone (excluding the CBD) including residential, commercial, industry, primary production and other types Bin Placement

Place your recycling wheelie bin at the kerbside 1-metre away from other wheelie bins or obstructions prior to 6.00am on your day of collection.

Service Eligibility

All properties within the collection Inzone are supplied with a 240L wheelie bins.

If you are moving into a dwelling that has been recently constructed, and are ready for your recycling bin, please complete the Kerbside Service request form above

Should you relocate, please leave your bins at the property. 

Lost or Stolen Bins

If you have just moved in to a property and the wheelie bin is missing please contact your property manager or the previous owner to return the bin.

Damaged Bins

Should the wheelie bin be damaged please contact Veolia on 6427 4646. 


Businesses outside of CBD

Businesses and Industry are advised to make contact with commercial waste operators for additional waste collections.  

Commercial cardboard collection is available by private arrangement through commercial waste operators, and free cardboard skips continue to be provided at the Burnie Waste Management Centre (BWMC) recovery loop. Businesses without a private arrangement must take the cardboard directly to the BWMC.

.• Council provides a single general waste bin per tenement, collected weekly on Tuesdays from 6am.
• Additional waste services can be arranged privately or by application to Council for a fee-for-service.
• Due to limited kerbside space, other recycling services (e.g. office paper) are by private arrangement with local contractors (e.g. Veolia).
• Alternatively, recyclables can be dropped off for free at the Resource Recovery Loop at the Burnie Waste Management Centre.


Cardboard is collected Weekly onTuesday from 5-7pm by Veolia on behalf of the Council*

Cardboard must be flattened and stacked neatly at an approved pick up point by5pm on theday of collection.Please ensure plastic tape is removed and boxes are to be emptied of all contents, including packaging material prior to flattening. Skip Hire and additional collectionsare available by private arrangment with a contractor.

Please note: People that are placing cardboard out for collection have a responsibility of maintaining their collection point until the collection has taken place. This will included adverse weather conditions i.e. strong windy days.

Failing to follow conditions of your collection may result in this service being removed.
