Kerbside Collection Request

Council provides a consistent single-rated 3-bin fortnightly kerbside collection service to all Inzone properties.The service model is designed to support waste reduction and diversion, servicing the maximum number of properties at the lowest cost. Residents and organisations with additional waste needs are encouraged to make private arrangements with local contractors. Council only considers additional waste in certain extenuating circumstances.

When to use this form:

New Collection Service

Inzone: Newly built residential and commercial premises may apply for a new collection service once they have received an occupancy certificate. Bins are provided and will be delivered within 3-4 weeks of your application.

CBD: Businesses within the CBD may apply for bin identification stickers, for new and additional services. Businesses are responsible for purchasing their own bins within the CBD.

Additional Waste Collections

CBD Additional Waste: Businesses within the CBD may use this form to apply for bin identification stickers, for new and also additional waste collection services (plus cancel additional services). Refer to the current Fees and Charges(PDF, 445KB)  for additional CBD collection cost per pickup. Businesses are responsible for purchasing their own bins within the CBD.  Note: new bin identification stickers will be issued from November 2025.

Inzone Businesses: From 1 October 2025, outside of the CBD, additional waste will only be provided by private waste operators. These providers offer 240L and 660L bin or other flexible skip options for services such as general waste, recycling, paper, shredding and cardboard collections.

Inzone Households: with extenuating circumstances, such as an acute medical need or large households with more than six persons who are unable to manage an alternative option, may request consideration for an additional fortnightly collection invoiced monthly. Please use this form to apply.  Note: Council only provides a fortnightly service within the inzone, weekly arrangements are available by private arrangement with a contractor.

Alternatively, Burnie residents can drop off 100kg of waste free per visit at the Waste Centre with ID.
