Rethink Your Waste

πŸ”— What’s in your bin?

Currently, everything in your red-lid bin goes to landfill, so the more we can divert to recycling, or FOGO, the better for the environment.

Small changes at home, like separating food scraps, recycling right, or avoiding waste altogether, make a big difference.

With the rollout of FOGO, we’re working towards 60% less waste going to landfill across the Cradle Coast.

Collection Guidelines

Inzone Properties: from September 2025

  • Council supplies bins assigned to each property in the serviced Inzone.(outside of CBD)

  • Only these assigned bins per property may be placed out for collection.

  • Place bins at the kerbside, by 6:00 am on collection day or the night before.

  • Place bins 1m apart and clear of obstacles like cars, poles, and trees.

Important Safety Tips

  • Bins should weigh no more than 50kg when placed out for collection.
  • Pack waste loosely so bins can be emptied safely.
  • Do not place sharp or hazardous items in bins, to avoid damage or injury.
  • Let hot materials cool fully before placing them in the bin, to prevent fire hazards.
