Hodgman Street will be closed to the public from 18 February to late June whilst Contractors work on the water main and demolish and reconstruct a failed section of the retaining wall on the eastern side.
We understand that this may cause some inconvenience and appreciate your patience and cooperation during the closure.
Signage and traffic management measures will be in place to help guide you safely around the affected areas.

June 2025
Road Closure - Hodgman Street (between Jones Street and Charles Street) will be closed due to road resurfacing on Friday 6 June, 2025 (weather permitting). Local residents have been advised to refrain from parking on the street during this time. We kindly ask that all road users adhere to the detour until these works are completed.
April 2025
Contractors have been completing the foundations of the retaining wall, getting ready for the placing of the mass blocs.
28 March 2025
Contractors have been busy demolishing and reconstructing a failed section of the retaining wall on the eastern side.
21 February 2025
Harding's contractors have begun work on the water main, and will continue with reconstructing the failed section of the retaining wall on the eastern side.
