Burnie's Natural Resources - Let's talk plants π
Published on 20 February 2026
Do you have a revegetation project on your farm, or are you working to rejuvenate a riparian zone along a waterway?
Join us at the upcoming Food and Feedback event to chat about all things Natural Resource Management (NRM)!
Discover the natural area rehabilitation projects the council is currently progressing, and get expert advice on local native plants and wildlife.
Bring along a weed species (safely sealed in a bag to prevent seed spread) if you’d like help identifying it or advice on controlling it.
Got a photo of a native plant or animal you’re curious about? Our team can help with identification.
Learn about the fantastic citizen science app iNaturalist, which can help you create a species list for your property or while exploring Burnie’s beautiful natural areas.
Interested in volunteering with the council’s NRM team, starting your own Landcare group, or joining an existing one? Come and chat with us!
We’ll be there from 9 am on Saturday, 21 March at Burnie’s Foreshore – we’d love to see you!
There will be free native plants giveaways, plus the crew from North West Snake Catchers will be around to answer all your reptile questions.
