What happens when you mix a free BBQ, great entertainment, and the chance to shape the future of Burnie? Food and Feedback!

Thanks to the incredible response from our community, this event has become an annual tradition – a relaxed and enjoyable way to connect with Council, share ideas, and be part of the conversation.

Council will be firing up a fantastic FREE BBQ, generously hosted by the wonderful Rotary Club Of Burnie West. While you’re enjoying a bite to eat, you’ll have the chance to share your thoughts on important projects and discover some exciting upcoming developments including:

• Shorewell Playground - final design and construction milestones

• Foreshore Playground - concept designs and timelines

• West Park Precinct Masterplan - final design and key elements

• Burnie’s Urban Plan Style Guide – help shape the vibe of our city

• Burnie's Bicentenary (2027)

• LGBTIQA+ Action Plan

• Urban Rivers Catchment Program

You’ll also be able to meet and chat with organisations working on projects in our region, including Marinus Link, Cradle Coast Future Energy Hub, Burnie Works, the Migrant Resource Centre Tasmania, and the Department of Justice Tasmania, who will be sharing detailed designs for the new Burnie Courts Complex ahead of construction starting soon!
