Free Disability Parking in Burnie

the October Council Meeting, a motion was passed to introduce free disability parking in Burnie. Please be advised that the arrangements for the new disability parking are as follows:

The free parking is limited to the existing Designated Disability Zones and the Multi-Storey Car Park (MSCP).

Designated Disability Zones: Disability parking permit holders can park free of charge in these zones for twice the stated time limit. Example: A 1-hour limit allows 2 hours free; a 2-hour limit allows 4 hours free.

Regular Parking Spaces: permit holders must pay for the initial parking period but will receive the same additional time for free. For example, pay for 2 hours and get another 2 hours free. Always ensure your permit is displayed.

Multi-Storey Car Park (MSCP): Free parking is unlimited in designated zones, but vehicles must exit by 6:20 PM to avoid an exit fee. First-time users must register their disability permit at the customer service booth, and permits must always be displayed in vehicles parked in designated MSCP zones.
