The Foreshore “en plein air“ Art Prize

The Foreshore Art Prize is an annual outdoor painting competition open to amateur and professional artists. The event takes place along Burnie’s foreshore, with artworks created “en plein air” on the day.

Prizes include $500 (1st place - acquisitive), $300 (2nd), $200 (3rd), and $100 (People’s Choice).

Artists must register by March 10, 2025 ($20 entry fee) and paint between 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM on March 16, 2025.

All physical media are accepted, but digital and AI-generated art is not allowed.
