Located behind the former UTAS Cradle Coast Campus and accessible via West Mooreville and Mills Roads, this development covers 6.25 hectares and will include approximately 55 residential lots. Construction began in early 2025, with lots expected to be available for sale in 2026.
Tenure Mix:
- 85% of the lots will be for private sale, with eligibility for the MyHome shared equity program.
- 15% will be reserved for social and affordable rental housing.
A public information session was held in February 2023 to gather feedback on open space, tree retention, and recreational amenities.

Modular housing is progressing in Romaine, with 2 of 13 new homes now installed and the remaining 11 expected to be delivered in coming weeks. The homes are being manufactured by Tasmanian company Podmatrix under the State Government’s ModHomes Program

This proposed development will consist of 18 two-bedroom social and affordable rental units. The development application was approved in October 2025.
