With thanks to the Tasmanian government for providing $400,000 in grant funding for this project

The asphalt on courts 3-8 at the Netball Centre is being replaced due to large cracks in the playing surface and surrounding areas, which pose a safety risk for both players and spectators. Additionally, the courts do not meet Netball Australia's requirement for a consistent 1% cross-fall grade, which needs to be corrected.

The works will include:

  • Removal of the existing asphalt on courts 3 to 8.
  • Base regrading to remove high/low points and soft areas.
  • Drain replacement along the centre of the courts.
  • Replacement of grates on outer drains.
  • Installation of a new spoon drain.
  • New asphalt with acrylic seal.
