Find your next treasure on the Garage Sale Trail
Published on 23 October 2026
Ready to hunt for a bargain? Garage Sale Trail is coming to Burnie this November, bringing two big weekends of secondhand shopping and hidden treasures.
Taking place on 7–8 and 14–15 November, Australia’s biggest secondhand treasure hunt is a chance to explore garage sales and markets across the community, find something unique and give pre-loved items a new home.
Whether you’re searching for vintage clothing, furniture, books, toys, tools or something you didn’t know you needed, there’s plenty to discover.
And with the average item on Garage Sale Trail selling for less than $9, you might just pick up a bargain!
Plan your shopping trail
Not sure where to start? The Garage Sale Trail interactive map makes it easy to find participating sales near you.
You can browse local listings, see what’s on offer and plan your own shopping route across Burnie.
New sales can be added right up until the event weekends, so it’s worth checking back to see what’s popped up.

Good for your wallet, great for the planet
Garage Sale Trail is about more than finding a bargain. Every pre-loved item that finds a new home helps reduce waste and keeps useful goods out of landfill.
It’s also a great excuse to get out, explore your neighbourhood and connect with others in the community.
Garage Sale Trail is supported locally by Burnie City Council as part of its commitment to reducing waste and encouraging reuse.
Mark your calendar for 7–8 and 14–15 November, grab your shopping bags and get ready to hit the Trail!
