2026 Tas Population Survey - Socials 1350 x 1080 - General 1.jpg

People are at the heart of our communities and our economies. The more we understand about why people live in Tasmania - why they choose it, stay, or leave - the more we can improve wellbeing for current and future generations.

To better understand what Tasmanians need as we look to the future, you’re invited to participate in a short survey about your experiences living here.

Tell us what is easy or hard about living in Tasmania, how connected you feel to your community, and the things that may influence you to leave or stay in your local area and in Tasmania.

The survey takes 7 minutes to complete and is completely anonymous. It is open to anyone aged 18 or older who is either currently living in Tasmania, or has lived here sometime in the past five years.

Population pressures are happening everywhere around the world, and our geographic isolation means they’re hitting harder and faster here. If we can meet this challenge together, we can ensure our people, communities and economy thrive for generations to come.

Share your thoughts, and you can choose to go into a prize draw to win one of five $50 gift cards.

Thank you for helping to shape Tasmania’s future!
