Notice of Intention to Dispose of Public Land

Burnie City Council determined at its meeting on 23 September 2025 its intention to dispose of land at 2 Cooee Point Road, Cooee, being 39,200 m2; part of 13 Amanda Court Romaine, being 800 m2; Brickport Road Reserve, West Park, being 3,400m2 and Brickport Road Reserve, West Park being 900m2 and more particularly described in Certificate of Title 117536/2, Certificate of Title 54930/27, Certificate of Title 121561/279 and Certificate of Title 153767/40.

The land is “public land” for the purposes of Section 178 Local Government Act 1993.

A plan detailing the land can be viewed at Customer Services at the City Offices, 80 Wilson Street, Burnie via the below link. 

Submissions regarding the disposal of the land are to be made in writing to the General Manager, Burnie City Council, PO Box 973, Burnie 7320 or burnie@burnie.tas.gov.au to be received no later than 4pm on Friday 24 October 2025. Council will consider submissions before making a final decision on disposing of the land.
