In this role, you’ll gain valuable professional experience while studying, working alongside experienced planners to support the delivery of quality development outcomes for the Burnie community.
What you’ll be doing:
- Assisting with the assessment of planning applications and enquiries
- Learning statutory planning skills under expert guidance
- Managing simple planning applications from lodgement to decision
- Providing excellent customer service to residents and stakeholders
- Supporting compliance, reporting, and administrative tasks
What we’re looking for:
- Current enrolment (or eligibility to enrol) in a tertiary qualification in Urban Planning or similar
- Strong administration and organisational skills, with attention to detail
- Ability to read and interpret plans
- Great communication and customer service skills
- A team player who is keen to learn and contribute
