Councillor Chris Lynch was elected to Council for the second time in 2018 and is passionate about helping community and sporting groups as well as school organisations in the Burnie area.

Chris is a strong advocate for the social inclusion of everyone that lives in our area and always takes that into account when considering council decisions.

He values the arts and participates in, and promotes, all genres, believing that a strong arts culture is essential to the social and economic capital of Burnie and the surrounds. He promotes healthy and active lifestyles and has recently been a convert to the sport of disc golf.

Chris sits on the Burnie City Council Audit Committee. Along with this committee for council, he also sits on committees for: Burnie Local Enabling Group Inc, Hellyer College School Association, Hellyer College Residents Collective and is a member of the executive committee of the Tasmanian Association of State School Organisations, and the McKenna Park Hockey Complex management committee.
