National Volunteer Week celebrates the diverse passions and talents of volunteers, inviting everyone to explore and find their perfect role in making a positive impact.

With the theme of ‘‘Your Year to Volunteer’, This theme honours the contributions of volunteers and encourages people across Australia to make 2026 the year they get involved and make a difference. National Volunteer Week 2026 celebrates the commitment of current volunteers and invites everyone to discover how giving their time and talents can spark joy, and a deep sense of purpose.

Visit the Volunteering Tasmania website and see what programs are available in your area, there are some exciting and varied roles to choose from - perhaps you could be a bread collector for Community House Hilltop Central, a learner driver instructor in the A2Ps program, a volunteer shop assistant for St Vincent de Paul, meal delivery driver for Red Cross, or an adult and family literacy tutor for Libraries Tasmania?
