Essentials to starting a small business series

Wanting to learn how to start a business? Join Business Tasmania’s free events!

There is a lot to learn when you first start out in business. To help you get started, Business Tasmania is holding a series of free sessions around Tasmania and online to support Tasmanians who are thinking about starting or are in the early stages of running a business.

Two events are available in-person and online:

• How to Get Started in business - learn about the essentials   
  • 12:00pm Thursday, 12 June — Online
• How to Get Started with Sales and Marketing - learn how to consistently make sales
  • 12:00pm Tuesday, 24 June — Webinar

  • 6:00pm Tuesday, 12 August — Burnie

These sessions are a great opportunity to gain expert advice, ask questions, and connect with other new business owners. The events will be delivered in partnership with local, experiences business advisors through the New Business Support Pilot Program.

Events will be held in Launceston, Devonport, Burnie, Hobart, St Helens, Kingston, Sorell and online during May, June, August and September 2025.
