Get ready Burnie – the party of the year is back!

Night on the Terrace returns this New Year’s Eve on the stunning Burnie foreshore!

Experience two spectacular firework shows, a vibrant mix of live entertainment, and a feast of flavours from local food vendors.

Bring the whole family for a night of fun, excitement, and community spirit.

Don’t miss Night on the Terrace, proudly presented by Burnie City Council, December 31.

Fireworks

At 9:30pm, you’ve got two ways to experience the magic:

West Park Oval – Burnie Athletics Carnival

Get up close to the action with a full-impact fireworks display right from the oval!

Burnie Waterfront – “The Good Ol’ Days” return

At the same time, thanks to the amazing team at Strait Link relocating fuel cells on the port, we’re bringing back the classic wharf fireworks we all remember and love!

And then, at midnight, the final spectacular fireworks show will also fire from the wharf to welcome 2026 with a bang!

With three amazing fireworks displays, there will be no drone show for 2025.

Extended Parking for New Year's Eve

The Multi-Storey Car Park will be open all night on New Year’s Eve, Wednesday, December 31, 2025, and will remain open until 10 PM on New Year’s Day, Thursday, January 1, 2026.

This allows you to enjoy your New Year’s celebrations in Burnie with family and friends.

Please remember: don’t drink and drive, everyone deserves to get home safely.
