Come along to this interactive session to learn more, and have some fun!
What is the workshops about?
Learn how to establish and run a successful community group. This workshop covers essential steps for forming a local team, finding like-minded individuals, and accessing tools and tips to make committee management easier.
Choose from two dates.
- Wednesday 21 May – 5pm to 7:30pm Burnie Harness Racing Club (1-7 PEARL Street, Wivenhoe Tasmania 7320)
- Saturday 14 June – 9:30am to 12pm Burnie Bowls Club (15 FIDLER Street, Cooee Tasmania 7320)
We are offering the workshop twice, once during work hours and once after work hours, to accommodate different schedules and reach more people.
All sessions will include light refreshments.
There is an option for child care – bring your young person and a carer will entertain them while you join the workshop.
Why is Burnie Works introducing Town Teams to Burnie?
Burnie Works exists to help the Burnie community create meaningful change and improve lives. We believe that building knowledge, skills, and experience within our community strengthens our ability to drive positive change together.
To support this, we’ve developed a program to deliver Community Capability Building workshops.
