The Visitor Hub in Marine Plaza, located between the Multi-storey carpark and Shiploads operates while cruise ships are in port.

We welcome our cruise visitors at the Burnie Discovery Hub, our Visitor Central on cruise ship days which provides the following visitor services:

Commercial operators selling their tourism experiences;
Makers selling their artisan products;
Mobile food vendors;
Meet the Mayor
The Burnie Highland Pipe Band and Burnie Concert Bands;
Federation Street exhibition at the Museum; and
Performances and events at the Burnie Arts and Function Centre.

Commercial Operators for Burnie Cruise Visits

The return of cruise ship visitors to Burnie will commence from 8 December 2025. This is exciting for the northwest tourism industry and there are many opportunities for Vendors, Tour experience operators and Makers to join our Discover Burnie Hub Experience.
