Waste Collection Zones

From September 2025, waste kerbside collections have three defined zones for all property types:

Kerbside Collection Zones

Existing CBD waste and cardboard collections will continue during a transition phase and be charged on a cost-recovery fee-for-service basis. Bin placement and storage challenges will be addressed as part of urban redesign efforts.  Waste collections in the CBD will occur from 6am aligned with the regional collections.

Bins will be provided for the fortnightly 3-bin rated service to all property types within the serviced zone (outside the CBD), Businesses and Industry are advised to make contact with commercial waste operators for additional waste collections.

Properties outside the defined boundary will not by serviced by Council. Residents are encouraged to seek private arrangements with a commercial waste operator or take their waste to the waste management centre. 

Provide flex 240lt or 660lt skip collection options for landfill waste, recycling, paper, or cardboard throughout the region.
