National Reconciliation Week 2025

National Reconciliation Week (NRW) occurs annually from 27 May to 3 June, commemorating two significant milestones in Australia’s reconciliation journey: the 1967 referendum and the High Court Mabo decision. It’s a time for all Australians to reflect on our shared histories, cultures, and achievements—and to consider how we can each contribute to achieving reconciliation in our communities and across the nation.

The theme for NRW 2025 is “Bridging Now to Next”, a call to action for all Australians to honour the past while working together to build a better, more inclusive future. It asks us to move forward, guided by what we’ve learned, and committed to progress.

Together, through respect, storytelling, and shared action, we move forward—bridging now to next—towards a more united and reconciled Australia.
