Funding to support the establishment of new long-rotation softwood and hardwood plantation forests in Australia closes 5 November 2025. This program provides funding to support new softwood and hardwood plantation forests in Australia. The program aims to expand domestic timber supply, particularly construction and manufacturing timber resources, contribute to Australia’s carbon emission reduction targets, and support regional communities through the retention and creation of regional jobs. Grants are open to private industry, First Nations businesses, farm foresters and state and territory government forestry bodies. The grants require applicants to provide a co-contribution equal to the grant amount.

 

Teddy Sheean VC Memorial Grants Program 2025-26  Friday 7 November 2025. 

  • Contribute to Tasmanian ex-service organisations and clubs undertaking minor capital works, purchasing equipment, or delivering welfare initiatives that benefit veterans and ex-serving personnel by supporting wellbeing and strengthening community connection.
  • Contribute to community organisations constructing, maintaining, or repairing war memorials, helping Tasmanians to continue honouring veterans through attendance at Anzac Day and other commemorative services.

 

Creative Australia Futures Fund 2025 Closes Tuesday 11 November 2025.  Supports ambitious Australian creative works across all artforms development and delivery streams.

  • Flourish: First Nations Fashion & Textiles Fund.  Grants of $10,000-$50,000 to support First Nations fashion & textiles innovation, production, marketing and capacity-building. C
  • Young People: First Nations Arts & Culture Project Fund.  Open to First Nations artists/arts workers aged 18-35, across artforms (excluding screen/film) for creative-practice/career development. Grants $10,000-$20,000.
  • Space to Create: First Nations Music Residency. A residency for First Nations musicians/producers/composers: studio time, mentoring, tailored production support.  
  • International Travel Fund: Market Development.  Supports travel for artists/organisations to key global market-development platforms and gatherings; flat amounts of $5k, $10k, $15k or $20k.
  • The Artist as Fundraiser (Workshop) A free workshop (Naarm/Melbourne) for artists/collectives to boost fundraising skills and supporter relationships.

Public art commission - Burnie Courts Complex close midnight 17 November 

Waste and Resource Recovery Board High Priority Infrastructure Grant - Round 3 open 26 November 2025, closing 30 January 2026. A $5 million funding pool will support industry, local government, community, and not-for-profit projects that build or upgrade waste and resource recovery infrastructure, such as recycling centres, tip-shops, and food-organics collection facilities. The program, delivered through the Tasmanian Waste and Resource Recovery Board and funded by the landfill levy, supports the state’s transition to a circular economy. Two online information sessions for applicants will be held at 11am on 12 November and 3 December 2025.

2026 - Strategic Initiative: Connected and Educated Children and Young People, close 15 November 2025. The Tasmanian Community Fund is committed to supporting projects that remove barriers and help children and young people (aged 8 to 19) stay engaged with learning and connected to their communities.

Australian Pride Foundation Small Grants Round 3 2025 Funding priority to regional and rural communities. Closes 17 November 2025. Small grants of $1000 to directly or indirectly assist, involve and benefit LGBTQIA+ people and promote positive social outcomes and mental health in.

Climate Change Business Innovation Grant Program 2025 close  17 November 2025. To support small- to medium-sized Tasmanian businesses to take action on climate change, focusing on local innovation, collaboration and partnerships to reduce emissions and transition to a low-emissions economy, build resilience and manage the impacts of a changing climate.

Building Digital Skills -  Round 14 from 3 November to 28 November 2025. Round 15 from 2 February to 27 February 2026. $3,000 – $20,500 funding so you can run a program to support the over-50s to be connected and get digital skills. A range of resources and support materials are available to help organisations deliver this program. This Be Connected program aims to support older people in Australia so they have the skills needed to participate fully in society.

RANT Arts Quick Response Grants TAS.  You can apply for a Quick Response Grant at any time between February 1 and November 30 in a calendar year.  Applications are assessed in monthly rounds, at the end of each calendar month. Individuals can receive up to $3000 and organisations up $5000.  The Regional Arts Fund is an Australian Government program that supports sustainable cultural development in regional and remote communities in Australia. The program is managed by Regional Arts Australia and, in Tasmania, by RANT.

 

Livestock Transport Industry Transition Closes 1 Dec. support for livestock transport businesses, including those who have made investments in transportation of sheep and the delivery of essential export-related goods such as feed, bedding, water systems, veterinary supplies and handling equipment specifically for the live sheep export by sea trade, to transition to other transport-related activities which may require further investment.

Farm Business Transition Program Round. Closes 1 Dec. application of research and development innovations and extension activities, and investment in on-farm infrastructure and improvements to increase the uptake of alternative farming systems and practices.

Creative Australia Music Australia Export Development Fund. Closes Tuesday, 2 December 2025.

  • International Performance and Touring Activity: Grants offer matched funding of up to $75,000 for Australian contemporary music artists undertaking international tours or performances. 
  • Music Australia Export Development Fund: International Professional and Artistic Development: Offers matched funding up to $15,000 for international professional development activities (e.g., residencies, songwriting camps, overseas production) for Australian music professionals

Australian Heritage Grants 2025-26 closes 5 December. funding to help protect and promote the National Heritage Values of places on the National Heritage List.

Australian Small Business Advisory Services Digital Solutions Round 3 closes 5 Dec. To assist service providers to offer low-cost, high-quality advisory services to help small businesses to adopt digital tools, across 5 priority capabilities: introduction to digitalising your small business, social media, digital marketing and selling online using business software AI and emerging technologies, cybersecurity and data privacy.

Funding to support advisory services to lift small businesses’ digital adoption, round 3 closes 5 December. This grant will help service providers to deliver low cost, high quality advisory services to help small businesses to adopt digital tools.  ASBAS Digital Solutions Round 3 will assist service providers in offering low-cost, high-quality advisory services to help small businesses adopt digital tools across five priority capabilities: introduction to digitalising your small business. social media, digital marketing and selling online. using business software. AI and emerging technologies. cybersecurity and data privacy.

Indigenous Visual Arts Industry Support program closes 5 December. for activities that best contribute to delivery of the following Program outcomes: a professional, viable and ethical Indigenous visual arts industry that features strong participation by, and provides economic opportunities for, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people the continued production, exhibition, critique, purchase and collection of Indigenous visual art.

Farm Debt Mediation Grant Program 2024-25 closes 5 December 2025. Farmers can receive a $3,000 grant to pay for mediation fees, professional advisory services relevant to mediation travel, accommodation, or room rental.

Not-for-Profit Organisation Disaster Preparedness Grant Program closes 5 December 2025.  Natural disasters and other emergencies have the potential to significantly disrupt lives. People who are reliant on third-party services to meet essential needs can be at risk of being impacted to a greater degree, particularly if the services they are reliant on are themselves impacted.  Grants of up to $20,000 will be made available to not-for-profit organisations to develop a plan for the continuity of their critical services during and after a disaster (service continuity plan); and/or implement identified priority actions in their plan.

Cameron Baird VC MG Scholarship 2026 - closes 12 December 2025.  The Scholarships provide an opportunity for two students to learn about the values that defined Corporal Baird’s life and to apply those values in their own pursuit of excellence.

The 2026 Prime Minister's Prizes for Science - closes 15 Dec. for demonstrated achievements in: scientific research and research-based innovation the practice of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander knowledge systems excellence in science teaching.

Built Heritage Grants Scheme - Large Grants (2025-26)Built Heritage Grants Scheme - Small Grants (2025-26) close 19 December 2025. Supporting state-registered property owners to undertake small but significant heritage conservation and restoration activities. Supporting heritage property owners, skills development organisations and the community to activate heritage places.

International Women's Day Small Grants Program 2026 closes 23 December 2025.  The Tasmanian Government is committed to advancing gender equality and celebrating the invaluable contributions of Tasmanian women.  The funding will contribute to local events and activities across Tasmania that celebrate women and their achievements.

Community Action Fund.  Applications will be assessed bimonthly until 31 December 2025. The Tasmanian Community Fund is calling for applications from not-for-profit community organisations for projects that support strong, vibrant and resilient communities, through programs and activities that remove barriers to learning for 8–19-year olds and build leadership capability and capacity across the community.

Federal Government Energy Bill Relief Extension 2025 – Small Businesses. Closes 31 December 2025. provides a one-time payment of $150 for all Australian businesses. If a business is supplied electricity by a licensed electricity retailer (such as Aurora Energy, 1st Energy, Solstice, Momentum, CovaU or Energy Locals), their retailer will automatically apply the bill relief to their electricity account, and they will not be required to take any action.
 
2025 Apprentice and Trainee Training Fund - closes 31 December 2025. The Apprentice and Trainee Training Fund provides grants to Skills Tasmania-endorsed registered training organisations to subsidise the cost of delivering training and assessment and associated learner support services to Tasmanian apprentices and trainees. 
 
Bobby Calf Tag Reimbursement. Closes 31 December 2025.
 
National Pies for Local Heroes - monthly grants close last day of each month.

Any registered Australian community group, sporting club or not-for-profit organisation can apply. We’ll award a grant of $1,000 each month over the next 12 months, beginning in March 2025. We’ll also award a major grant of $10,000 at the end of the program Jan 2026.

Sign up for Free NBN - up to 31 December 2025.  Eligible families in Tasmania without broadband are encouraged to sign up for a free NBN connection for 12 months as part of the Albanese Government’s ongoing roll-out of the School Student Broadband Initiative (SSBI).  To be eligible, a family must: Have a child living at home enrolled in an Australian school in 2025; Be referred by a nominating organisation; Have no active broadband service over the NBN network; and Live in a premise where they can access a standard NBN service.

 

Junior Travel Assistance Program - 2025/26. Open until 24 June 2026. Provides help to young athletes (aged 12-18) with the costs of travelling to national sporting championships. This program offers one-off grants of up to $200 to ease the financial burden on families, allowing more young Tasmanians to represent their state.

Ticket to Wellbeing program aims to increase the number of older Tasmanians active in sport and active recreation and reduce the membership and/or registration cost for these activities for those who are eligible. If you are living in Tasmania, are 65 years old or over, and are listed on a Services Australia Health Care or Pensioner Concession Card, then you can apply for a $100 voucher to use towards the cost of sport and active recreation membership and/or registration. Vouchers are limited and the program will close when all available vouchers have been distributed. Vouchers must be given to an Approved Activity Provider to redeem by 5 June 2026.

Saluting Their Service Commemorative Grants Program.  5 February 2026. This program aims to commemorate the service and sacrifice of Australia’s service personnel who served in wars, conflicts and peace operations, and their families.

Arts Business: First Nations Development Fund: close Monday 9 February 2026 (3 pm AEST). Grants of $10,000–$50,000 to support First Nations creative business growth (capacity building, governance, marketing, digital).

Arts Projects for Individuals and Groups:  Tuesday 3 March 2026 (3 pm AEDT). Grants from $10,000–$50,000 for arts-based projects across art forms.

Arts Projects for Organisations:  Tuesday 3 March 2026 (3 pm AEDT). Grants from $20,000–$100,000 for organisations delivering arts programs/projects.

Density Incentive Grant Scheme closes 31 March 2026. is a Tasmanian Government initiative to help increase the supply and diversity of housing. Grants of $10,000 per dwelling are available to incentivise developers to build medium and high-density housing developments, up to a maximum of 50 dwellings per developer.

Business Energy Efficiency Scheme close 16 April 2026. This program provides commercial and industrial energy customers with loans to help them implement energy efficient products and services to sustainably reduce their electricity bills.

 

Events Tasmania Marketing Grant 25/26 Closes 21 May 2026.  to provide grants to the organisers of events in Tasmania to increase visitation to their event. The program seeks to support marketing initiatives that promote and attract audiences to events held in Tasmania between 1 July 2025 and 30 June 2026. The grant program is designed to cater for both large and small events, with two tiers of funding available for events with either intrastate or interstate visitation targets. Grants between $2,500 and $10,000 are available to support event organisers in enhancing their existing marketing strategies for established Tasmanian events. Grants are available until the available funding allocation has been fully allocated, or the program has closed – whichever occurs first.

Touring Grant 2025 - 2026. Closes 28 May 2026.Touring grants of up to $20,000 are available to eligible organisers of touring activities that are held between March and November (inclusive) that attract more than 40 people to Tasmania, who stay in paid commercial accommodation for five nights or more and spend 40 per cent or more of the touring activity in regional areas (outside Greater Hobart).

Championship Grants 2025 - 2026. Closes 28 May 2026. Grants of between $3,500 and $10,000 are available to eligible organisers of championship and sporting events that: attract more than 100 people from outside Tasmania who stay three nights or more in paid commercial accommodation (hotel, motel, B&B, cabin). promote pre- and post-championship travel as a part of their event marketing.

Ticket to Play  closes 29 May 2026 is a Tasmanian Government initiative designed to reduce the cost of sport and active recreation membership and/or registration for eligible children.


 

The Digital Sisters program has been extended until June 2026. The Australian Government, through the Department of Social Services, will continue funding the program, allowing 55 network partners to keep empowering women in their communities.  This extension is a direct result of the incredible work every Digital Sisters partner is doing in their community and the powerful impact the program has had. We are thrilled that we can continue with this program for one more year.

Waste and Resource Recovery Board Sponsorship Program 2025-26 close 5:00PM 30 June 2026

Provides funding of $1,000 to $10,000 to eligible organisations, events and individuals that support the delivery of the Tasmanian Waste and ResourceRecovery Strategy (WRR Strategy).
The Sponsorship Program has a focus on supporting projects, organisations and events that clearly align with the WRR Strategy, demonstrate and road-test innovation, produce improved resource streams and circular supply chains, and deliver better services, products and outcomes for Tasmania.

 

Major Events Partnership Program 2025/26. Closes 30 June 2026. provides funding to significant events that return substantial economic outcomes for our state. The Program is a competitive process with applications considered by the Major Events Group – a body made up of Government and industry representatives – against set criteria. The Program aims to deliver a regionally and seasonally balanced event portfolio for Tasmania that includes a variety of event types. 

Sector Support 2025/26. Closes 30 June 2026.  Events Tasmania provides support to organisations bidding to host mass-participation events in Tasmania that would, should the bid be successful, fit within our existing Major Event Partnerships Program. This support is capped at $3 000, and can be used towards the development or presentation of the bid.

Regional Tourism Development Loan Scheme.  30 June 2026.  This program provides loans to support tourism projects in regional Tasmania.

Social Enterprise Capability Building Grants.  30 June 2026. This program provides funding to social enterprises to help them become more efficient and effective in delivering social benefits to vulnerable Australians.

Rebates for TAS sheep and goat farmers.  This program provides TAS sheep and goat farmers with rebates to help them purchase eligible eID device tags.

 


Residential Land Rebate close 31 July 2026.The program is a Tasmanian Government initiative to help boost the availability of affordable residential land and improve housing availability Grants will be for a total claim amount of up to $15000 per-lot, up to a maximum of 40 lots per application.Funding is available for developers to help cover the cost of power, NBN, water and sewerage infrastructure.

 


2025 Events Tasmania Attraction Fund. Close 31 May 2027.  The aim of the Fund is to secure mass participation events which will deliver strong levels of interstate visitation and substantial economic and social benefits for the state during the shoulder and winter months. 

  • must apply under Stage One at least four months (16 weeks) prior to event commencement
  • must hold an event between March and November in either 2025, 2026 or 2027
  • must be able to contribute at least 60 per cent of the overall event income budget.

 

PowerSmart for Small Business 2024-25. Closes 30 Jun 3028. The Tasmanian Government has launched the PowerSmart for Small Business program, providing grants of up to $1,000 to small businesses for energy efficiency audits. This initiative aims to help Tasmanian small businesses better understand their energy use, identify opportunities to reduce both energy consumption and costs, and implement energy-saving measures.

Cheaper Home Batteries Program. 2030. Provides households and small businesses with a 30% discount on the upfront cost of installing a small-scale solar battery.

 

 

 

Tourism and Events

One-off Assistance Grants provides funding to events being held in regional Tasmania outside of the peak tourism season. 

Championship grants of up to $10,000 are available for eligible competitions that bring more than 100 competitors and supporters to Tasmania, who stay in paid commercial accommodation for three nights or more, and are able to promote pre- and post-championship travel within the state as part of their event marketing.

Touring Grants Tasmania provides funding to organisers of auto, motorbike or walking tours held in Tasmania which encourage visitors to travel around the state.2025.

Funding for mass participation events held in Tasmania This program provides funding to event organisers hosting large events in Tasmania.

Free mentoring support for First Nations tourism businesses. tailored and one-one-one mentoring services from experienced tourism industry professionals.

Support for TAS tourism businesses to reduce their emissions
The Tourism Industry Council Tasmanian (TICT) is supporting tourism businesses to reducing their emissions through targeted programs.

 

Arts, Entertainment, Screen & Production

Support for Tasmanian start-up social enterprises and impact-driven businesses
The Shift Lab provides new social enterprises and impact-driven businesses with support, structures, tools and resources.

Social Enterprise Capability Building Grants
This program provides funding to social enterprises to help them become more efficient and effective in delivering social benefits to vulnerable Australians.

 

Young People

Transition to Independent Living Allowance (TILA)
The Transition to Independent Living Allowance (TILA) in a one-off government payment for young people aged between 15 – 25. It provides a financial contribution of $1,500 to assist young people with transitioning to independent living.

Mantana Foundation for Young People
The Mantana Foundation for Young People provides assistance toyoung persons from disadvantaged or marginalized backgrounds. The focus is on providing programs that target school retention and increased educational achievement, employment skills development and career pathways, and social and community connectedness, together with servicesin geographical areas where funding is difficult to source.

 

Business Support

CSIRO Kick-Start is an initiative for innovative Australian start-ups and small businesses, providing funding support and access to CSIRO’s research expertise and capabilities to help grow and develop their business.

Waste Resource Recovery Sponsorship Program - Tasmanian organisations are invited to apply for sponsorship funding for innovative projects, events, or initiatives that recover resources from waste and reduce landfill. Funding ranges from $1,000 to $10,000 per project. Applications close once funding is fully allocated, so interested businesses are encouraged to apply promptly.

Small business training for people interested in self-employment
This program provides support to people interested in starting their own business or who need help to refocus an existing small business.

No interest business loans for low income Tasmanians
The No Interest Micro Business Loan provides low income earners with interest-free loans to support their new or growing business.

Growth programs for businesses
The Business Growth Programs provide businesses with access to expert advice and programs that will help them grow their business.

Bonus tax deduction for small businesses accessing external training for their employees
This initiative provides small businesses with a bonus tax deduction to help them train new staff and upskill existing staff.

Tax deductions for small businesses to digitise their operations
This initiative allows small businesses to claim a 20% bonus deduction on technology expenditure to help digitise their business.

Pre-employment project opportunities to recruit new staff
The Launch into Work program is for businesses that want to use a pre-employment project to recruit new staff.

Financial incentives for businesses to hire new staff
Wage subsidies provide financial incentives to employers to hire and retain eligible participants in ongoing and sustainable positions.

Matched funding for start-ups and small business to access CSIRO support
CSIRO Kick-Start provides matched funding for start-ups and small to medium enterprises to help access CSIRO's research expertise and capabilities to help grow your business.  . 

Funding for workers with a disability
The Employment Assistant Fund provides workers with a disability with funding for workplace modifications, equipment or services they need to perform their job. 

PowerSmart for Small Business program, providing grants of up to $1,000 to small businesses for energy efficiency audits. This initiative aims to help Tasmanian small businesses better understand their energy use, identify opportunities to reduce both energy consumption and costs, and implement energy-saving measures.

Business Energy Efficiency Scheme - The scheme will provide loan interest subsidies to eligible applicants by way of a once-off grant payment to install the energy efficient goods/equipment, or have energy efficiency services delivered. Through BEES, the Tasmanian Government will fund:

  • the full interest costs under the loan on up to $10,000 over the first three years, and
  • a 5 percentage point interest subsidy for loan amounts over $10,000 and less than $60,000 over the first three years.

Loans for businesses to support exports
The Small Business Export Loan provides small to medium export businesses with loans to cover up to 80% of the costs to secure an export contract or purchase order with an overseas buyer.

 

Agriculture, primary production  

Funding for organisations to do rural industry research
AgriFutures Australia RD&E Investment provides funding for organisations to help conduct research that will improve the sustainability and profitability of new and established rural industries.

Support for farmers experiencing financial hardship
The farm household allowance program provides farming families experiencing financial hardship with assistance through planning and training for long-term financial improvements as well as income support for up to 4 years.

 

Tech & Advanced Manufacturing 

Network of specialised programs to support Australian technology companies to expand globally
Landing Pads provide start-ups with a workspace for up to 90 days in a global innovation hub, along with access to coaching, investors, customers, training and networking events.

Funding for businesses undertaking renewable energy projects
The Advancing Renewables Program provides businesses with funding or finance to develop renewable energy technologies.

Funding to support zero emissions vehicle (ZEV) technologies
This program provides funding to enable the demonstration and deployment of new zero emissions vehicle technologies..

Financial benefits for businesses that recycle oil
The Product Stewardship for Oil Program provides financial benefit for businesses that recycle oil or use recycled oil in their operations.

 

Export 

Financial help for Tasmanian businesses to move goods by sea
The Tasmanian Freight Equalisation Scheme provides businesses and individuals with financial assistance to offset the costs of moving goods by sea.
