Reasons for request for withdrawal which we will not consider:
- You were getting change for the parking meter or voucher machine.
- You didn't see the parking zone signs - unless there was an issue with the signage, with incorrect or missing information.
- You were unfamiliar with the road rules or parking conditions.
- Your appointment ran over time, or you were delayed in a queue.
Valid Reasons for request for withdrawal which we will consider:
- Not the owner at the time of infringement.
As the registered vehicle operator, you should first request that the driver responsible for the infringement pay the fee. If this is not possible, you must provide a Statutory Declaration that includes the nominated driver's full name, address, and date of birth. This declaration must be signed by a Justice of the Peace, a Commissioner for Declarations, or an Authorised Person. If you are unable to provide these details then you remain legally responsible for the infringement notice.
- Vehicle Breakdown
Please provide a photo of the towing or repair receipt, or other supporting evidence confirming the vehicle's condition at the time the infringement was issued.
- Medical Emergency
If a medical emergency prevented compliance with parking regulations, you will need to submit verification confirming the emergency occurred during the time the infringement notice was issued.
- Signage Issue
If there was an issue with signage—such as incorrect or missing information—please provide a clear photo of the sign or area in question that shows the problem.
If the circumstances do not fit within the above valid reasons, please contact Council customer service on 6430 5700 during business hours.
