Burnie Waterfront Foreshore, West Beach Follow the main streets of the city centre to the Burnie foreshore, the City by the Sea. West Beach is a block from the central business district and is connected by boardwalk to the University and the little penguin habitat on the western end of the beach.
South Burnie Foreshore Esplanade Forming part of the Coastal Pathway, this multipurpose shared recreation area south of the port is a hive of activity, offering colourful change rooms, an RV dump point, a dog-friendly walking beach, outdoor exercise equipment, a boat ramp and jetty, and active canoe and yacht clubs.
Cooee Beach and public toilets Calm sandy beach offering a picnic area, a long low-tide shoreline & expansive coastal views. Carpark, picnic table and public toilets are located on the eastern end.
