Emu Valley Rhododendron Garden is a world-class garden just 8 km south of Burnie, off the Ridgley Highway.
Spread across 11 hectares (25 acres), the garden showcases more than 22,000 rhododendrons and companion plants. From late August to January, the grounds burst into a spectacular display of colour, but each season offers something unique, from vibrant autumn foliage to the serene beauty of winter.
Wander along meandering pathways to enjoy the tranquillity of the gardens, where platypus, echidnas, and a variety of birdlife are often spotted. Picturesque landscape features, including gazebos, bridges, waterways, and a fountain enhance the experience.
While visiting, stop in at the Rose Tree Café for refreshments or explore The Plant Hut for garden treasures to take home.
