Day 1 – Burnie

Morning 🖼️

  • Browse local shops and admire Burnie’s Art Deco and Federation buildings. 
  • Visit the Federation Street Museum and Burnie Regional Art Gallery.
  • Enjoy a coastal walk along the foreshore for sea views and fresh air.

Afternoon 🐚

  • Visit the Giant Freshwater Crayfish Sculpture and the original Burnie Inn in Burnie Park; stroll to Oldaker Falls.
  • Drive to Hellyer Road Distillery for the Whisky Walk Tour and tastings.

Evening 🐧

  • Watch the Burnie Little Penguins return to shore at dusk.

Day 2 – Burnie  → Cradle Mountain

Morning 🚗

• Drive south from Burnie with scenic stops at Emu Valley Rhododendron Garden and Guide Falls.
• Continue to the historic town of Waratah, famous for its 1886 hydro-powered street lighting and waterfall.

Afternoon 🥾
• Arrive at Cradle Mountain Shop and explore the short trails around the lodge.
• Spot wombats, wallabies, quolls, echidnas, and enjoy alpine views.

isit the Tasmanian Devil sanctuary, with the option of an after-dark feeding tour.

Evening 🍴

  • Dine at one of the local restaurants featuring Tasmanian ingredients, craft beers, and regional wines.

Overnight 🛏️ Cradle Mountain

Day 3 – Cradle Mountain → Launceston

Morning 🥾

Prepare for all weather: pack a rain jacket, hat, sunscreen, water, and a picnic lunch.

  • Arrive early at the Cradle Mountain Visitor Centre to purchase a park pass and shuttle bus tickets.
  • Sign the walker registration and make use of the Amenities at the Dove Lake Viewing Shelter before you head off
  • Walk the Dove Lake Circuit, enjoying alpine views and reflections of Cradle Mountain.
  • For an optional challenge, take the steep side track to Marion’s Lookout for panoramic views.
  • Finish with a classic selfie at the iconic Dove Lake Boat Shed.

Afternoon 🛣️

  • Drive towards Launceston with optional stops in Sheffield (town of murals) and Deloraine (galleries and crafts).

 Evening 🌙
  • Enjoy a leisurely stroll along the Launceston Tamar River.
  • Launceston restaurants showcase seasonal Tasmanian produce and local wines.
  • Option to visit a local craft brewery or wine bar for a nightcap, attend live music or cultural events.

Overnight 🛏️Launceston

Day 4 – Launceston → Bicheno

Morning 🏞️

  • Explore Launceston’s boutiques or City Park after breakfast.
  • Visit Cataract Gorge Reserve, ride the chairlift, cross the suspension bridge, and unwind at the café.

Afternoon 🚗

  • Drive south to Campbell Town, then turn east to the coast.
  • Arrive in Bicheno and enjoy a beach walk or coastal lookout

Evening 🌙

  • Enjoy fresh seafood or local fare at a seaside restaurant

Overnight 🛏️ Bicheno

Day 5 – Bicheno → Hobart

  • Watch the sunrise over the ocean.

  • Drive south via Swansea with scenic coastal views.

Day 6 - Hobart

  • Explore Salamanca Place and galleries

Lunch 🍴

  • Wander along Constitution Dock for quick, fresh seafood; it's a perfect spot for people-watching.

Afternoon 🛥️

  • Take a river cruise and visit MONA
  • or take a tour up kunanyi / Mt Wellington for panoramic views.
