Be part of history as Spirit of Tasmania IV makes its first arrival into Tasmania on Friday 22 August 2025.

This new ship not only marks an exciting chapter for Tasmania but also opens greater opportunities for Burnie residents to explore the mainland and for visitors to discover all that Burnie has to offer.

Head to the Devonport Mersey Bluff Precinct between 3.30 pm and 5.30 pm for a community Welcome Wave, featuring a Rotary sausage sizzle, kids’ entertainment, and the spectacular sight of the ship sailing by on its way to Hobart for its final fitout.

The spirit will be 1km off the coast of Devonport.
