Casual Cruise Ship Parking Arrangements

As we welcome 34 Cruise Ships back to our beautiful city of Burnie this cruise, we have revised the parking alongside the Alexander Beetle House on Alexander Street to be dedicated to the Early Learning Centre. Four parking spaces will be transformed into 15 minute parking dedicated for the Early Learning Centre in order for our carers to drop off and pick up their children safely.

Across the road adjacent to these there will be an additional 2 x 15 minute parking bays allocated. The 6, 1hr spaces from the Court house down to High Street will be transformed into 30 minute parking. This will be a casual change to the parking arrangements only on weekday cruise ship days. Our next ship arrives on Monday 14 November. A reminder also that on all cruise ship days, High Street will be closed to vehicular traffic with the exception of cruise shuttle buses, and Little Alexander Street will be closed to vehicular traffic except those with permitted access and tourism buses.
