A kind turn in the weather enabled work to re start last week at the View Road Reserve Pump Track site.

High rainfall during winter and spring impacted ground conditions and clay materials causing a significant delay to the project.

The contractor Ridemore’s focus is now on completing the mountain bike (MTB) trails and the dirt jump tracks, and restarting on the pump track before Christmas, however the pump track is not expected to be complete before the end of January, weather pending.

As soon as the MTB trails are complete around Christmas, Ridemore encourage their use. As that time the pump track work site will be fenced off and isolated from the MTB trails to ensure public safety.

Council would like to thank the community, and particularly the cycling community for their patience in the progress of this important cycling and recreational facility. A progress update will be provided prior to Christmas.
