Burnie City Council is inviting feedback from the Burnie community on the 2023-24 draft budget as part of a 21 day public exhibition process.

Burnie City Council Mayor Teeny Brumby said,

“Continuing on from the success from last years Community Consultation process with the Annual Plan and Budget Estimates, Council are again putting the Budget out for Community Consultation - ensuring that the community have direct input into Council’s budget and decision-making process.

"The Budget Community Consultation has become an important part of Burnie City Council’s Annual Budget process to provide those who are interested the opportunity to help shape the way resources are collected and utilised in our municipality within the financial year.

"We invite our community to read the information provided which details the income (revenue) that is proposed to have available to Council this year and the subsequent allocation of available funds that support the many community programs, services, maintenance and renewal of Council facilities provided by the Council.”
