The Creative Paper Tasmania is located in a renovated Australian Paper building, just minutes from the Burnie CBD. A team of talented staff make beautiful handmade paper and paper gifts, with traditional, age old methods. Open 7 days a week (closed Sundays in winter 1 May to 30 September) from 9am to 5pm Mon to Fri and 9am to 4pm Sat and Sun. Tour times 9:30am, 10:00am, 10:30am, 11:00am, 11:30am, 1:00pm, 1:30pm, 2:00pm, 2:30pm, 3:30pm. Tour prices $15 Adult, $8 Child, $12 Concession, $40 Family.

Emu Valley Rhododendron Gardens
Set in a natural amphitheatre, this 13ha site features over 20,000 rhododendrons and their companion plants. This tranquil garden has significant water features and a tea room. Open daily from August to February (excluding Christmas Day), 9.00am to 5.00pm. Entry is $6.00 Children Free.

Guide Falls Alpaca Park
Located near Guide Falls at Ridgley, the Guide Falls Alpaca Park features alpaca and other alternative farm animals in a working environment. There is an extensive range of alpaca wool products and garments in their show room and tea room. 9.30 to 5pm 5 days Wed to Sun. from 1 Sept to mid july each year. Entry fee is $5.00 adult and $2 for children between 6 - 16 years.

Hellyers Road Distillery
Oak barrels of single malt whisky have been aging for the last 5 years at Hellyers Road Distillery. A tour of the distillery provides a unique opportunity to see a wide range of premium spirits created in the largest distillery in Australia. Since filling their first barrel in 1999, there are now over 2,600 casks of whisky maturing to produce a unique "Tasmania Style" premium whisky. Have a coffee and browse in the beautiful surrounds of the interpretation centre. Open 10:00am - 4:30pm daily, Closed Public Holiday. $10 per person for distillery tour, Children under 16 free.

Natone Hills Fishery
This is a privately owned fly fishery, (no licence required) just 18km from Burnie in Upper Natone. The lakes are well stocked with a variety of good sized healthy Rainbow and Brown Trout. The shoreline has no hazards making it comfortable for casting. This fishery has all amenities. Fly fishermen from beginners to experienced can be accommodated with expert tuition available. Parties of 10 rods can be catered for. BBQ facilities, bushwalking, boule, ideal location for photography or bring your sketch pad.

Tas Paper Tour
A fascinating look into the world of commercial papermaking. A 1.5 hour FREE tour explaining the art of fine papermaking, from the pulp stage through to production of paper on the gaint machines and the final cutting, wrapping and packaging stages. Children over 10 only due to the safety requirements. Enclosed footwear must be worn. No cameras allowed on site. Tours held weekdays at 2:00pm, excluding public holiday.

The Cheese Tasting Centre

The Cheese Tasting Centre is open from Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pm (excluding Good Friday, Christmas Day and Boxing Day). Weekends and Public Holidays open from 10.00am to 4.00pm. All cheese tastings finish 30 minutes prior to closing.
