The Market is located at the Wivenhoe Show Ground, off Anglesea Street and operates on the
FIRST AND THIRD SATURDAY OF EACH MONTH from 9.00 am to 12 noon.

The Burnie Christmas Parade is proudly presented by The Apex Club of Burnie Emu Bay.

Come along and get in the spirit of Christmas at Carols by Candlelight in the Burnie Park.  A magical evening for the whole family. Pre-Carols entertainment starts at 7.15pm with Encore followed by the main carols program starting at 8.15pm.

The biggest event on the North West Coast for New Year's Eve is is Bunrie.  Featuring bands, two sets of fireworks, kids stage, food, bonfire, karaoke and much more.

Full details will be released later in the year for the 2009 event.

The Burnie Athletic Club boasts a long and proud history spanning over 123 years of continuous entertainment. The traditional Burnie New Years Day Sports have always been one of Burnies major events, and continues to attract world-class athletes, cyclists and wood choppers.
All three disciplines have a full program of events culminating in the final of the Mens and Womens 120m Gift (athletics), and the Mens and Ladies Wheel races. The main event on the wood chopping program is the 300mm Standing Chop.

The 2010 Rally Tasmania Classic Rally is based in Burnie on February 26-28, 2010.
The competition covers spectacular mountain and valley areas within a 100km radius of the City,
and returns to Burnie at the end of each day.
