The commercial property rate entitles business to one wheelie bin collection per week. Additional collections are available if required.

Businesses that generate significant amounts of waste are encouraged to use private sector services.
Collection Times
Wheelie bins must be placed at the kerbside clear of obstructions prior to 7.30 am on the morning of collection.
Pick up is between 7.30 am and 4.30 pm and bins should be returned to the premises as soon as possible after collection to avoid pedestrian obstruction, theft or vandalism.
Recycling for Business
CBD
A weekly cardboard collection service is provided by Jones Waste Management in the Burnie CBD area. Cardboard must be flattened and stacked neatly at the kerbside or other approved pick up point.
Cardboard is collected each Tuesday and must be placed out by 7.30 am on the morning of collection.
Outer Commercial areas
Possible arrangements to enable interested businesses to have access to the domestic service are in review. If your business is in a residential street receiving the new kerbside service and you would like to be billed and included please indicate your interest by filling out a New Service Form.

Council encourages the commercial and business sector to recycle wherever possible. There are several commercial recycling collection services available in the region. Call Council's Customer Service desk on 6430 5700 for more information on these companies.
